Message from Ms Carol YU
Chairperson of the Executive Committee

It's a great honour and privilege to serve as Chairperson of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund Awardees Association (the Association). Since 1980, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund has awarded over three hundred scholarships to outstanding young musicians and dancers to pursue further studies. The Awardees Association was founded in 2016 to provide a vibrant platform for past and present scholars to connect, communicate and collaborate for the betterment of music and dance in Hong Kong.

Since its establishment, the Association has organised performances, experience sharing sessions, community and educational activities in which members shared their knowledge and expertise, joining forces to promote music and dance in Hong Kong. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the previous Chairpersons, Ms. Yip Wing-sie, BBS, JP, and Dr. Lung Heung-wing, and to the Executive Committee Members for their commitment, time and efforts in establishing the Association and in co-ordinating its numerous activities.

The Association is committed to serving the community, and will continue to dedicate its efforts to foster and enrich the development of music and dance in Hong Kong. As Chairperson, I am excited to have the opportunity to work closely with the members and to explore new initiatives and collaborations, as we strive to move the Association forward together!
