Currently Head of Woodwind, Brass and Percussion at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), Professor Yiu Song-lam is also the Artistic Director of Hong Kong Wind Kamerata, Artist in Residence at the Education University of Hong Kong and a founding member on the Board of the Asian Double Reed Association. At the masterclass on 19 October 2018 at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), two groups of students performed two pieces with distinct styles, including German composer Anton Bernhard Fürstenau's Rondò brillante Op.102 and another German composer Robert Schumann's Fantasiestucke Op.73. Apart from coaching, he also shared his experience in music learning with the audience after the masterclass.
